HAWAIIAN HONEYCREEPERS

Hand-drawn Illustration plate of Hawaiian Honeycreepers, all of which are endemic to Hawaii.

This print will hang perfectly next to the map of Hawaii, perhaps to its left so that these Honeycreepers can be close to their pier; the ‘I’iwi bird is depicted on his own Koa tree branch on the map of Hawaii.

The Hawaiian honeycreepers represented here are (from bottom to top, left to right): the ‘akohekohe, palila, ‘akepa, akikiki, ‘ainohu kauo,  kiwikiu, and the akiapola’au.

The tree which unites these endangered passerine birds in an unlikely gathering is an Acacia Koa.
