Why is designing the Map of California so laborious? Marketing wise it's a good one: plenty of visitors, habitants, dreamers... potential buyers.
When in doubt, a friend I have recently met has told me to simply ask myself this: "does it feel right, or does it feel off?" Feeling instead of thinking.
As I'm learning to apply her advice to most things in my life, I've noticed that listening to my gut instead of my head cuts my debating/decision making down to seconds. And, no, working on the map of California as October kicks in with its ghosts doesn't feel right. Battering gales, dead beaches, mad seas, long nights, and rediscovering Raised By Swans on Spotify as I take to the hills all scream to me that California most definitely feels off! So off.
Once I accepted to put the map of California on the back-burner, despite the work I had already done, my inspiration gushed back. Phew.
I have a thing for volcanic islands and Iceland will be my winter jewel. I've only been working on the map of Iceland for a couple of weeks but it is going effortlessly fast, I am thriving again, connected and inspired. It will be beautiful.
I promised the best map of California, well, you'll first be served with the most beautiful map of Iceland! ;)
